Take your turkey and stuffing with a side of history

The king of eating holidays, Thanksgiving (Nov. 22 this year), is mostly about excess — an excess of the finest quality ingredients, an abundance of food, or an excess of racially charged epithets from an uncle who’s had one too many Brandy Alexanders.

Now, for the first time in more than 80 years of hosting movers, shakers, and every president since FDR except for George W. Bush, the iconic '21' Club is getting in on the fun with a special holiday menu wrought with rarified, decadent tastes like foie gras, lobster, and venison. The three-course menu runs $95 for adults and $55 for children under 10, and guests can make reservations anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

If your Thanksgiving family feuds have felt lackluster in the past, perhaps it’s because you weren’t arguing about politics underneath the many hanging toys in the restaurant’s bar room.
